Skin boosters (the most famous brand is Profhilo®) is a revolutionary skin tightening treatment, which deservedly gained a name of ‘real life airbrush’. It is a hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment, which works beneath the skin. Once injected, Profhilo stimulates the collagen production to improve and restore firmness of the skin.

One of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market, Profhilo not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue. The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck and can also be used for the décolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen area, where it would effectively treat skin laxity. The treatment is suitable for men and women, as well as offering skin benefits for patients of all ages.

At ifab, Dr Rehanna is proud to use Profhilo® skin boosters, one of the safest and most renowned brands.

Common Questions

Does It Hurt? Normally the procedure is perfectly manageable, however, your clinician can apply topical anaesthetic if required.

How Long Does The Treatment Take? Approximately 20-30 minutes

How Safe Is It? Skin boosters should only be administered by appropriately trained medical practitioner with a good knowledge of facial anatomy. All Products used are supplied from approved pharmacies, traceable back to the manufacture and are all FDA approved.

How Long Can The Results Last? This treatment does not ‘wear off’, but as skin continues its ageing process, maintenance every 6 months is advisable in order to keep active collagen production. However, this is depending on the individual’s life style, metabolic rate, sun exposure etc.

What To Expect After Your Treatment? As this is an injectable treatment, there are minor chances of bruising and swelling. This will be explained in depth during your consultation.

Do I Need A Consultation? All new patients require a full consultation at least 24 hours prior to any anti-wrinkle injection treatment.
